About the days between dates
Count the days between two dates and see the gap as weeks and days, months and days, and years. Tick “include the end date” when both the first and last day should count, such as for a trip or a leave request. A second calculator adds or subtracts days, weeks, months or years from a date. Questions
- How many days are there between two dates?
- Enter both dates and the calculator shows the total. By default it counts the days in between, so Monday to Friday is 4 days.
- Should I include the end date?
- Include it when you are counting days you will be somewhere or working, because both the first and last day count: Monday to Friday is then 5 days. Leave it off to measure elapsed time.
- What is one month after January 31?
- February has no 31st, so the result moves to the last day of February: the 28th, or the 29th in a leap year. This is how most spreadsheet and calendar software handles it.
- How do I find the date 90 days from today?
- In the add or subtract card, keep today as the start date, choose Add, and enter 90 days. The result shows the date and its weekday.
