About the rotate
Rotate an image 90, 180 or 270 degrees clockwise, and flip it horizontally or vertically. Handy for fixing sideways phone photos or mirroring a picture. The image is uploaded to our server for processing and returned in its original format.

Questions
- How do I fix a photo that shows up sideways?
- Rotate it 90 degrees (clockwise) or 270 degrees (which is 90 counter-clockwise) until it is upright, then download the new file. The rotation is saved into the pixels, so it displays correctly everywhere.
- What is the difference between rotating and flipping?
- Rotating turns the whole image around its centre. Flipping mirrors it, so text reads backwards after a horizontal flip; a 180-degree rotation is not the same as a vertical flip.
- Does rotating an image lose quality?
- Rotations by 90-degree steps move pixels without resampling them. JPEG output is re-encoded, which can cost a little quality, while PNG stays lossless.
